Before the days of disposable diapers, diaper covers like these (commonly called “soakers”) were used as an extra layer of protection over the cloth diapers. They would have been knitted in wool like these! Thankfully we don’t have to use these for practical purposes anymore and can enjoy the vintage look without any mess. 😄
