A note from Annalise (Owner and Founder of Cygnet)

I grew up in a small farming community near Tampa, FL called Plant City. They are known for being the Winter Strawberry Capitol of the World! Every year Plant City has their annual Florida Strawberry Festival. I have not missed going since I first went at 5 years old. That fair is where I would enter SO many knitted , crocheted, and hand embroidered baby items I had made all year. Kids my age were not making these things and so I would win the Grand Champion every year, but once I graduated to the adult category things got a lot tougher… one time I worked all year long on a delicate lace crochet christening gown. I told my family that if this didn’t finally earn me the Grand Champion I was done. Well, lo and behold it DID win the Grand and I continued to enter until life got busy with kids and all that stuff. 😆 I have picked countless baskets of strawberries 🍓 and never get sick of eating them. (And nothing is like fresh and warm in the field.) 😍🍓🍓 So in creating this piece I hoped to bring a little piece of my life history to you! 🥰 xoxo Annalise
